Hometown Hero Banner Series Launches Round 2 in Tipton

Tipton, Indiana– The Tipton Main Street Association of Tipton, In. is excited to launch a second round of the Hometown Hero Banner series that will honor our armed services. Starting May 3, 2021 honor your hometown hero who has served or is serving by purchasing a full color, double-sided, 24X48 banners for $100.00. The banner will include your hero’s photo, name, and branch of service. They will hang on the lamp posts throughout downtown Tipton for 1 year beginning in July, and then will be given to the purchaser to keep at the end of June 2022. Please note that they will be removed during the harsh winter months to help preserve them (January – mid March).

A total of 81 banners will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. Applications will be accepted from May 3rd – June 11th, 2021. This project is a TMSAI fundraiser. The funds will be used on future TMSAI projects and/or events.

A photo of your Hometown Hero in uniform must be provided and can either be emailed to [email protected] or dropped off at the mayor’s office (Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm) or mailed to City Hall, Attn: Mayor’s office, 216 S. Main St., Suite 400. The photo must be the original if you are dropping it off. If you are emailing the photo it must be a high-resolution Jpeg file image. A check or money order must accompany the application. Each Veteran or family member must sign a waiver to publish the photo. We will accept applications starting May 3, 2021. Deadline is June 11, 2021. Please visit our website at www.tiptonmainstreet.org. to print off an application or stop by the mayor’s Office to pick one up. Please note your application cannot be processed until your check/money order has been received.

The Hometown Hero project is an excellent way to honor our very own veterans. This is such a personal tribute honoring so many.
